Pui Pui Entry 3

Alright, back to showing my primitive hack-slash-n-stitch method on Pui Pui.

Started this off by tossing in a reference pic and turning the armour to wireframe. I mirrored this to the left. As you can see, the rib cage is way out of whack. Time to get busy moving verts around.

Tada. All fixed on the right. It's no longer wireframe because I was getting lost in all those lines. So I gave it a multi-sub material with white for the creases and pink for the tops. Much, much better.

Time for the shoulder.

I started a box primitive with a few extra segments, deleted the bottom and end polys, bent it into place, welded some verts. Finished it off with more vert moving.

I'm starting to get a bit concerned about the armour, especially the shoulder and collar area. Hopefully there won't be much trouble and I'll be able to give his pecs a bit more depth. Time will tell. Hmmm...

As far as the armour goes, I'm leaving it for now. Still have to add the spikes out his back and a few other little tweaks, but they can wait until I get his body modeled.

I've already modeled a hand, and it weighs in at a whopping 213 faces. Egads! This is the first hand I've modeled with actual fingers and that's not a big mitten. Since this is my first articulate hand, changes are it won't deform too well. So the hand will be a learning experience for me. Pictures to come when I get to it.
