Fix a Photo

Let's fix a photograph of a bad man. I would like to use Biker Chic, but she's not messed up enough for this.

-Enter Bad Man. Yuck. Way too yellow or not enough blue. Variations? Nah, Levels (ctrl + l).

Well, doing this on a Levels Adjustment Layer is good. No need for an Ad-Layer for quick little tweaks, but keeping Levels around in an Ad-Layer for this is a good idea.

-Be doing some work in the seperate channels. You can use the drop-down menu or the listed hotkeys to navigate between the seperate channels.

-Here is a peak at the composite histogram from within the Levels dialog. On the whole, not quite a enough highlights. The shadows doesn't look too bad, but maybe a little tweak.

-The first stop is the Red channel. Just gonna bring those two outside sliders in a bit.
-Next stop is the Green channel. Bring the sliders in a bit the same as the Red channel.

-Finally, the nasty Blue channel. Man, the slider on the right needs to be brought in quite a bit.

Definitely not enough blue.

-Okay, back to the composite. Looks much better. Since all the tweaking was done in the seperate channels, no tweaking to be done here.

Let's see what messing with Levels has done to Bad Man.

-Holy Smokes! Talk about a far cry from the messed up picture. Now that's cool.
